Trebuchet

I built this working Trebuchet model for a Jr. high school project for my son Eric about 6 years ago. The plans came from American Woodworker if I remember correctly. This thing kicks ass. It will throw grapes, rocks or anything else you put in it. It is a shop mascot now.

Side view. Notice the ring on the end of the arm. It is held on with string wraps.
Rear view. You can see the ramp for the projectile to slide in on its way to it's target.
LOCKED AND LOADED! The locking mechanism is an arm with a metal pin (nail) that fits into an eyelet on the swing arm.
Notice the swinging weight box. An authentic touch.
